Winona Phillips - but you may call me Noni...
I moved to Kelowna in 1993 for the start of grade 8 at KSS in the french immersion program. I was so incredibly happy to move here! Kelowna had been our vacation spot for years previous and I can't get enough of the lake and mountains here in the Valley!
After graduation, class of 98! I met Courtney (who I later married, and we had 2 kids with... it is our 8 year anniversary this August 2011!)... we travelled a bit through BC and Alberta visiting friends and snowboarding in the winter. I mostly worked evening jobs in the customer service industry and really learned the value of work ethic and the true meaning of "customer service". Things should be easy as a customer; especially on your wedding day you should be relaxed, happy, and feel like you are the top of the world!
My longest and most recent employer was RBC Royal Bank where I worked as a teller. This is where I perfected and honed my customer service skills. However after having two kids I feel differently about life and work. I want my kids to have a good balance of home time and daycare time so we decided that I needed to work for myself and I needed to make my own hours! I looked carefully at where my skills and interested would lead me... organizational, multitasking, customer service, calm-cool demeanor, party planning for family and friends, hosting friends for dinners, crafts and creativity... and here I am today!
2011 was my first summer working for myself as a Wedding Coordinator and Planner. I LOVE it! I really enjoy the people that i meet, I am always sure to connect with the couple's family and friends. I want to be sure that they are having as much fun as the bride and groom! Of course I love meeting and working with my couples who are at such an amazing point in life!!!
I really look forward to hearing from each of you who have visited my website! I welcome all enquiries and encourage all my clients to meet each vendor in person to really get a feel and connection. This way, you can feel more confident that we will acheive your dream together!!!

Being born and raised in Kelowna I grew up wanting to be many different things as any child did, but it wasn't until my graduating year of '09 that I discovered my true passion, Wedding Coordination.
I sort of stumbled upon the career path by trying to get extra credits in order the graduate highschool early. In order to do so I had to do work experience, and I figured my best choice would be my mothers travel agency, Marlin Travel Kelowna. I was working their with her agents and there was one who specialized in destination weddings. Cheryl was the agent who showed me how exciting and enjoyable planning wedding was.
So after I graduated I looked into how I could go further with it. I enrolled immeadiately when I found WPIC - the wedding planners institute of Canada.
After completing my course and receiving my certification I thought it would be easier to find a job in it.
This year has been my first year putting my skills to work and I have loved every moment of it. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to work with someone as amazing as Winona and look forward to seeing many more dreams come true.
