DJ Haymaker...
A bride who doesn want to do a bouquet toss...
present the bouquet to the longest standing marriage in the room!
This will usually be one of your grandparents and can be grandma's highlight of the night!
Haymaker also suggests to have your mc visit each table to send them to the buffet instead of announcing it over the mic...
This is great to give your wedding a more personal touch for your guests!
Officiant James Harnden...
Hot Okanagan summer?
Guys, those suits can get warm and we don't want sweaty men!
James has his bridal party wear ice in the back of their waistband to keep cool!
** On a Budget? You will save yourself an enormous amount of money if you get married during the off-season months of January, February, March and November. Also, get married on any other day of the week other than Saturday
**A woman to be wed should ensure the shine of her hair months before the wedding, simply by starting a regimen of regular conditioning. You may experiment with hair conditioning products if you must, but you must do it weeks or months before, and not at the eve of your wedding!
**When you sit down to your meal grab a white sheet to cover your dress if you don't want to chance a stain!
**When your cake is delivered have it stored in the venue's fridge until reception time so the fondant doesn't sweat or slump!
**If you and your groom are both uninterested in participating in bachelor and bachelorette parties, why not consider a combined “thank-you” event for your wedding attendants?
**Hire a hairdresser and a makeup artist to come to you at your home or hotel who can style yourself and some bridesmaids. This is fun and keeps you from having to run around on your wedding day!
**When serving appetizers on average, your guests will consume 5 hor d'oeuvres per person per hour for the first 2 hours and 3 per person per hour for each additional hour.
**Don't forget to download you emergency checklist! You don't want to be caught without the essentials!
**NEVER try to fit all your speeches in before dinner... you will create a very hungry and restless crowd!

Let's choose a dress to suit your body shape!
There are five body types that include apple, pear, inverted pear, square and hourglass...
The perfect dress for an apple shaped bride is a dress with an empire waistline and a v-neck. The apple bride should avoid all corsets, full skirts, and long bodices if she does not want to appear larger than she really is.
A pear shaped bride should wear shoulder pads or puffy sleeves. This bride should avoid any type of body hugging gown, full skirts, or cuts that make the upper body appear even smaller or the lower body larger
For inverted pear bride the top of the gown should remain as simple as possible while the bottom should include a full skirt
The square shaped bride does not have many curves so the goal of a wedding gown is to create curves. Necklines and bodices should be beaded, but only the upper part of the bodice. Big sleeves and skirts are also ways to help add some curves.
The best options for an hourglass shaped bride are strapless or off the shoulder gowns, sheaths and fitted bodices, as well as v-necks. Wedding gowns the hourglass shaped bride should avoid include heavily beaded gowns.
